Dayna Block
Dayan Block is the co-founder of the Open Studio Project (OSP), a transformative approach to art-making that she has been involved with since its inception. Since 1992, she has served in various roles, including Executive Director, Board President, and OSP Project Trainer, helping to expand its reach and impact. In 2004, she began teaching the Open Studio Process class at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), sharing her passion for creative exploration with students. Over the years, her focus has shifted more toward her own painting practice, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. Through her work, she continues to explore the deep connections between art, personal reflection, and community. She remains dedicated to the philosophy of OSP, integrating its principles into both her teaching and creative practice.
